What do you represent? This is an important question I was thinking about the other day. As a gay person, i’ve never thought about “representing”. However, to the world at large as a gay person I am often represented by people that I don’t know, that I don’t have anything in common with, and many times who I have no desire to be associated with. Here’s a perfect example of what I am talking about:

Basically, these queens marching in a gay pride parade are the images you typically see projected to the world at large about gay people. And it’s repeated thousands of times over every year, in cities all over the globe during gay pride weekend. Like it or not, these people represent gay people in an implied sense, and that includes me and every other gay person out there – which I find highly fucking annoying. If you are a gay person, is this who you want to be known for? I sure don’t – this isn’t what I am all about, and doesn’t have anything to do with who I am as a person.
Anyway I decided when I started this blog it would be my way to represent myself as I want to be represented as a gay person, not as other people (whether gay people, straight people, the media, or news outlets), want to represent me. And why not? Maybe if more people represented themselves a little, the world might see that there’s more to gay people than just bad stereotypes.

I’ll admit it, over the last few years i’ve turned somewhat of a reality TV junkie. Normally it’s been reality shows on the History Channel: I love “Ice Road Truckers” and I got totally addicted watching “Ax Men”. Now I am getting addicted to “Pawn Stars”. I even watched Housewives of Orange County when it first came on so I guess I have a pretty high tolerance for a variety of reality shows. But, I finally saw one that is so fucking bad even I can’t stomach to watch more than the 2.5 episodes i’ve already been tortured with: “Miami Social”!
There’s so many things I hate about this show, I don’t even know where to start. And really, I am not going to bother going into all of them, because it’s not even worth the trouble. But I have to at least comment on the two gay guys on this show, because aside from the fucked up “pseudo-reality” format of the show itself, what makes the show so bad are these two primadonna queens who are the epitome of the stereotypical gay guy that makes me embarrassed to be one myself. I don’t know either of their names, and honestly I am not interested enough in either of them to expend the energy necessary to look them up and find out, so for the sake of ease we’ll just call them Douche I and Douche II, as noted below:

They are both physically unattractive, intellectually vacuous, they have no presence when they enter a room, and all do is bitch and whine and complain each show from minute it starts until the minute it ends. Good god someone please put a muzzle on these two, take them to the pound and put them both out of their misery! What was Bravo thinking when they cast these morons? In fact, what was Bravo thinking when they cast this entire show? The only thing even remotely interesting about this show is Katrina’s ex-husband (who is straight of course, it’s always the straight ones who I think are hot), and unfortunately he’s not on it enough for me to watch it just for him. Overall though, it’s not just that Miami Social is bad pseudo-reality, it’s worse than that: it’s bad boring pseudo-reality. If you haven’t seen this yet – don’t bother. It’s not worth wasting that one hour of your life that you’ll never ever get back again!

Recently I stayed at a hotel in Carlsbad, California, and when I walked into the room I started laughing my ass off when I saw how many pillows were on the bed. Check this shit out:

I mean don’t get me wrong, this is a nice hotel (I think it’s a 4 star resort actually), but after a hard day of traveling who needs to to walk into their room to find 9 fucking pillows on the bed to deal with before they can lay their head down and get a good night’s sleep? Jesus Christ!!

I once heard a Christian pastor state that a gay person could not be a Christian because homosexuality is an abomination against god. Since that day, i’ve heard this same sentiment repeated many times over, by Christians far and wide. So where do they get this from? Well, lets check it out ourselves and see what we can find…..

If you read the Bible closely, you’ll find that it does appear that the Christian God does not particularly care for homosexuals. To quote the Bible from Leviticus 20:13 – “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.”
I don’t know – if you ask me this sounds pretty straight forward. If you believe that the Bible is “God’s Word” and this is what the Bible says, then it would seem to follow logically that the Christian God not only considers homosexuals an abomination, but he also commands them to be put to death. And there really doesn’t seem to be much wiggle room for interpretation on this, either. So, I think I would have to agree with the heterosexuals who claim that a person can’t be gay and also be Christian: If this is what the Bible says, and if you believe the Bible is God’s Word, then you can pretty much read for yourself what his position on the matter is.
Given this evidence against them however, many gay people claim they are Christians and God loves them. Hmm…. did these people forget to read the Bible before they became Christians, or do they just enjoy deluding themselves? Personally if I wanted to live obscured in a cloud of self-reinforced delusion I would probably do drugs instead of Hallucinating for Jesus (more fun), but then again I would rather just deal with reality as it is and be done with it.
What do you think? Are gay Christians idiots, or do they know something the rest of us (including heterosexual Christians) don’t know?
Just for the record – of course my standpoint is that there’s nothing wrong with being gay, it isn’t a “sin” and religion is nothing more than a primitive tool used to brainwash and control the masses. ‘Nuff said!

Alright, lets kick off the first post of my blog by explaining exactly what this blog is about. By the name of the site, I imagine some people are going to think it’s about some gay guy who’s pissed off that gays can’t get married, or some other politically charged gay issue. Sorry to disappoint those people, but it’s not. It’s just a blog written by a guy, who happens to be gay.
Ok, so what about angry? Am I angry? If so, about what? Well first of all, lets define “angry”. I am not angry in the sense that I am a loose cannon, or one of those people who you’ll read about one day walking into a post office or McDonald’s and shooting the place up. Really, I just have some things to say about certain things that I seem to be passionately discouraged or frustrated by, many of which revolve around being gay and/or the gay community itself. And this seemed like the best way to voice myself and be heard. So I plan to blog about those things along with other random shit (good, bad, funny or otherwise), depending on how I feel that day. So as they say, “here goes nothing” and hopefully you’ll find something on this site worth coming back for another visit!
Peace
….or go fuck yourself
